From Idea to Product

Innovation and product managers work at the interface between marketing, design and technology. Future challenges can only be mastered through interdisciplinary training. We provide you with the tools and teach you the necessary expertise. We emphasise project-based learning. And it's not just about acquiring knowledge, but through the large number of projects from the 2nd semester onwards, you will also come into contact with companies and perhaps get to know your future employer. But of course you can also work on your own innovative ideas, with the support of experts, mentors and the necessary infrastructure. So off you go to your own start-up.

Innovation Management

Every successful product begins with the search for ideas. You will learn various methods to recognise new trends and opportunities or to search for ideas within the company or with external partners. Using a wide variety of approaches, you will later be able to better implement innovation management within the company.

Concept Development and Design

After evaluating the best ideas, you will learn the tools necessary to turn the best ideas into design concepts. To do this, you will learn the design principles and tools for developing business models to ensure that your product is successful once it is launched on the market.

Development / Technology

The development of smart and sustainable products requires perfect interaction between the individual engineering disciplines and the use of modern digital methods. You will learn the basics of mechatronics in digital product development, from the first draft to the prototype to quality assurance in series production.

Your choice
And because everyone has different interests and plans, you can choose between mechatronics and digitalisation from the 2nd semester onwards. According to your own taste!

Marketing & Product Management

Following development, the acid test for every new product is its successful market launch. You will learn how to address customers and markets at an early stage, market new products efficiently and further develop established products.

Start-up Feeling

Starting in the second semester, you can work on your own innovation projects, either individually or in a team. With support from mentors, you will continuously develop your ideas and receive feedback from a distinguished jury, similar to the format of "Shark Tank".

Interdisciplinary Expertise

To be successful in the business world, you must not forget your interpersonal skills. Leadership skills, moderation and rhetoric, self- and project management, quality management and business English are essential components of your interdisciplinary skills profile.
