Home Exchange Students Incoming Exchange Students

If you are a student of one of our partner universities, we are looking forward to hosting you as an exchange student for one or two semesters here in Upper Austria. Student exchange agreements are usually signed at the faculty level, therefore please check which of our four schools maintains a cooperation with your home university. Exchange students can generally only take courses at one campus.

In order to apply as an exchange student, you need to be nominated by your home university. Therefore, please contact the international office at your home institution about the selection and nomination process first.

Freemover

Please note that the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria usually only accepts students from partner universities for a semester or two on exchange basis. Freemover exchange students can only be accepted in special cases and this needs to be clarified with the International Office of the according campus in advance.

If your home university is not among our partner universities, you may still apply as an degree-seeking student and join our university for an entire Bachelor's or Master's degree program. You are then, however, not considered an exchange student and your application needs to follow the general application procedure for degree-seeking students.

Please note that University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria has four schools in four different cities, each school has an own international office responsible for incoming exchange students. Incoming exchange students have to select one school for their semester abroad in Upper Austria and contact the according international office:
