Life in Hagenberg

In Hagenberg our active and well-connected student community is committed to an optimal study-life balance. The legendary summer and winter fests and our student parties are highlights in the busy campus calendar. And topping off this recreational program are spaghetti and cocktail nights, pub quizzes and concerts by student bands, who have their own rehearsal room. There are also numerous competitions including game and animation jams.

You also don't have to go far to satisfy your hunger between lectures or to party in the evening. With a good selection of restaurants and a canteen as well as a pub on campus, Hagenberg offers something for every taste and occasion.

For exercising the body as well as the mind, there are multiple physical challenges in a sports hall with climbing area, and fun, sports and beach volleyball courts near the campus. The Mühlviertel region also offers opportunities for biking, running, hiking, skiing, horseback riding, golfing, swimming and archery.

No wonder many students decide to live on campus – and it is a breeze with almost 600 dormitory places as well as many shared apartments and lots of private accommodation in Hagenberg. 

Commuting to campus is no problem thanks to links to the A7 motorway and public transport. And also within easy reach are the delights of the capital Linz, the lakes and mountains of the Salzkammergut region and cities like Vienna and Prague.
