The School of Engineering in Wels has been in existence since 1993 and is one of the pioneers in the university of applied sciences sector in Austria.
With its focus areas and highly successful research projects, it is one of the most renowned universities of applied sciences in Austria. Engineering and applied natural sciences are at the heart of research and development work. Six Centers of Excellence (CoE) or areas of strength form the core of research, making this school one of the strongest and best-equipped faculties in Europe in terms of research.

Modern, well-equipped university
Attractive, new campus
Work is ongoing at the Wels campus to redesign various "feel-good" areas for students on campus: The UAS inner courtyard has been greened and redesigned, the StudyLounge and StudyJungle (work and study areas for students) have been opened, a chill-out area has been built on the roof terrace, the canteen has been expanded and the new laboratory building has been extended. This makes researching, studying and chilling out together fun!
