Shaping the digital future - this is the focus of academic education as well as research and development in Hagenberg. In our Bachelor's and Master's degree programs and our research activities, everything revolves around computer science, communication and media. The variety of topics from these areas that we deal with and in which our students can acquire expertise is huge. There are now 11 Bachelor's and 12 Master's degree programs to choose from in Hagenberg, and research is carried out in 13 research groups and two Josef Ressel Centers.

Hagenberg has a lot to offer students. An active student community, parties and various leisure activities are available to students in Hagenberg.

Our faculty is located in the middle of the Hagenberg Software Park. This means that our students can find attractive opportunities for internships, academic collaboration and part-time jobs just a few minutes' walk from the university. There are also exciting opportunities to develop and implement innovative projects together on site. In addition, there are extensive opportunities for networking and a wide range of career opportunities - and, supported by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria Startup Center and the services of the campus' own coworking space bytewerk, the opportunity to realize your own start-up ideas.

In addition to full-time study, where you can fully immerse yourself in student life and, if necessary, work part-time on a reduced workload, you can also study part-time and dual study with us and thus combine work with study.

Our Faculty offers an inspirational learning environment and modern facilities. Alongside bright, well-equipped lecture halls and computer labs, there are specialized facilities including a bio lab and film, audio and video editing studios. In our Makerspace workshop rooms, project ideas can be developed and put into practice with 3D printers, laser-cutters and the like, and you can breathe new life into devices in our Repair Cafés. There is also room for start-up ideas in our bytewerk co-working space. Our conference events in areas such as artificial intelligence, IT security, animation and mixed reality add to our international flair.
