Application Deadlines

Online application for EU and NON-EU citizens is possible until 30.06. and is on a first-come, first-serve basis, depending on available study slots. A study place cannot be guaranteed.
You are responsible for timely submission of application taking visa processing (4-9 months) into consideration for a timely arrival.

Required Documents

  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor’s certificate
  • Transcript of records (Bachelor’s degree)
  • CV / resume
  • Letter of motivation (max. 500 words)
  • English Language Proficiency Certificate (see academic requirements)

Four Steps to starting your Master’s degree in Wels

  1. We review/evaluate your online application (https://application.fh-ooe.at/)
  2. Selected candidates will be invited to an interview (possible online)
  3. Successful candidates will need to legalize their bachelor’s certificate and transcript of records (see legalization of documents below)
  4. After all proper legalization is complete; an acceptance letter can be issued

International Applicants – Important Information

  • Please scan the originals of your bachelor’s certificate and transcript of records. If they are not in English or German, please also scan a certified translation of the originals.
  • Legalization of documents is only required after being successfully selected after the interview.
  • It is the student's responsibility to complete all necessary Visa requirements for entry and duration of their stay in Austria (see OEAD website for more helpful information). Please note that the Visa process can take up to several months.

Academic Requirements

English Language Requirements

All courses are taught in English language. Therefore, a very strong understanding of the English language is absolutely necessary due to the theoretical and technical nature of the course material.

  • Applicants from countries where English is the national language or native language of the majority (see map): No Certificate necessary.
  • All other applicants: TOEFL IbT or academic IELTS - min 6.0 for IELTS/min. 78 points for TOEFL. No exceptions!
  • English Language Certificates issued by previous universities as well as letters of recommendation are not accepted.
