Einzigartiges Masterstudium im Bereich Werkstoff- und Produktionstechnik
The economical, ecological and targeted use of materials and their efficient processing represent an essential competitive factor for Austrian industry. In view of the increasing quality requirements in production and in the use of new materials, more and more experts are required who are familiar with the specific requirements in processing and using these materials. The required quality of many products can only be achieved with appropriate processing technologies and their specific effects on the characteristics of materials. There is no comparable FH degree programme in all of Austria.

Graduates have the know-how to take on management positions in production and applied research & development. The fields of activity include metal and plastics processing, joining and welding technology, application technology, technical product development and production, applied research and development, surface technology and quality assurance. They are in high demand in the following sectors: automotive and aircraft construction, plant and mechanical engineering, sports equipment construction and development, production of semi-finished products, heat treatment, surface treatment and finishing, recycling, tool and mold making.
