Projects as Pathways to Real-World Experience

Our program closely collaborates with local companies, integrating real-world tasks into our curriculum from the second semester. Students participate in practical exercises, seminars, and projects that companies initiate, providing direct exposure to professional environments. The program culminates in a mandatory work placement where students apply their learned skills in actual job environments and explore potential career paths. Additionally, entrepreneurial students have the opportunity to develop their innovative ideas throughout the six semesters.
Raiffeisen Bank

The goal of the project was to improve the implementation of innovation into daily business operations at Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich. Based on their findings, students developed clear recommendations, like stronger ownership and decision structures, dedicated time and resources for innovation projects, and earlier involvement of operational teams, which resulted in a more structured and successful framework for realization of innovation initiatives.

RUFF Golf

The goal of the project was to assess the market potential for an innovative minigolf concept in Austria. Combining market research and analytical skills, students designed and conducted a survey to test the feasibility of the proposed indoor minigolf concept, providing essential data for RUFF's strategic decisions.

 

PIA

The goal of the project was to analyse donation behaviour in Austria in recent years, identify key trends, and understand how these trends have evolved over time. Based on these insights, students developed a tailored fundraising concept for the NGO, including strategic recommendations to improve donor engagement, and designed a trophy to recognize and motivate its largest sponsors. 

Trafility

The goal of the project was to explore how artificial intelligence can improve internal knowledge access and efficiency in traffic planning projects at Trafility GmbH. Students analysed the company’s existing knowledge management challenges and developed a prototype concept for an AI-powered, queryable knowledge database based on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) principles. 

Podcast The Agile Way

The goal of the project was to create a concept and produce the initial episodes of a podcast targeting innovation managers, R&D managers, and agile coaches. Integrating marketing expertise with agile competencies, students launched an interview-style podcast for the Institute for Agile Transformation, which has since attracted a wide audience of companies and consultants.

Life Tool

The goal of the project was to develop an innovative solution that enhances safety for water sports enthusiasts and swimmers. By blending technical expertise, user-centered design, and strategic thinking, the project addressed critical risks in aquatic environments, aiming to save lives.

Stefan Hiesberger

During his internship at Audi in Ingolstadt, Stefan worked in the Product Strategy department, collaborating closely with executive management. His projects included developing innovative interior lighting solutions and contributing to early AI voice assistant initiatives, allowing him to apply his academic skills to strategic automotive industry advancements.

Simone Redl

During her internship at KEBA Group AG, Simone focused on Business Innovation, specifically enhancing the company's idea management system. She developed new strategies for gathering and utilizing employee contributions to fuel future innovations.

Jonas Gahleitner

During his internship at Ascendor Lifttechnik GmbH, Jonas worked in the Product Management department. His projects included competitor analysis, identifying opportunities for improving lift systems, and contributing to strategic initiatives. He also collaborated with the company on his bachelor thesis, combining academic knowledge with practical industry insights.

Yvonne Gruber

During her internship at Wertstatt 8, Yvonne worked on developing and validating AI-driven business models. The focus was on adapting experimental methods traditionally used for conventional digital models to address the unique challenges of AI-powered solutions. By analyzing these challenges and refining validation strategies, she contributed to creating innovative approaches that enhance customer value. This experience bridged academic knowledge with real-world applications in sustainable business innovation.
