Bioinformatics and Image Processing
This TIMed CENTER Core Facility aims to create the basis for the management and integration of biological data.
In addition, various analyses are to be developed for this special data. In order to automate the analyses of biomedical or molecular biological data, algorithms and intelligent software systems are programmed at the FH OÖ Campus Hagenberg. These support life scientists such as doctors, biologists and geneticists in their daily work.
Bioinformatics can also be used to simulate biological processes. The research and development projects, which have been in progress for years, are carried out together with partners from science and industry. These fruitful collaborations have already resulted in a number of useful algorithms and methods, including sequence analysis programmes and analysis algorithms for the identification of proteins.
