Know-how to meet the challenges of cybercrime, hacking and data theft

New IT security challenges in the areas of cloud security, IoT, smart technologies, artificial intelligence and big data need to be mastered in the corporate environment as well as in the private and public sectors, and new threats in the areas of social engineering and hacking need to be addressed. Networks must be secured against unauthorised access, attacks detected and forensically analysed. The development of security-critical, fail-safe systems and procedures, as well as the creation of a secure environment for communication and the protection of corporate knowledge and personal data are vital. Based on over 20 years of experience in IT security education, these new challenges have been particularly emphasised in a redesigned curriculum since 2020.
