Important Dates

If you apply online by one of the following dates, your application documents will then be evaluated and you may be invited to an interview:

• January 31st
  
• March 31st (Additional information for all non-EU applicants who require a visa for their stay in Austria: Please submit your application by this date if possible, as the visa process usually takes several months! )
• May 31st (is also the application deadline for all applicants for the Bachelor in Digital Arts)
• June 30th (is the application deadline for all other Hagenberg degree programmes)
• August 31st (extraordinary application deadline, i.e. Clearing): Between June 30th and August 31st, it is possible to apply online for those degree programmes that still have places available! These will be announced in June. After August 31, please contact the relevant study program office directly.

Applications received by the respective deadline will be processed immediately. The invitation and appointment for the admission interview/procedure will be sent by e-mail and you will be informed of the result.

Good to know

You can also apply for two degree programmes at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria - in this case, the degree programme of your priority 1 and priority 2 must be indicated in the online application form. And certificates (such as the school-leaving certificate) that are not yet available at the time of the online application can be submitted at a later date.

Admission Procedure

Once you have submitted your online application, your application documents will be evaluated and you will be informed about the further progress of your application and may be invited to an interview. This interview will take place as described below and can be completed partly online if necessary.

Admission Bachelor Degree Programmes

Interview

An interview is part of the admission process for all Hagenberg Bachelor's degree programmes. You will be invited to the interview by your chosen degree programme after it has reviewed your application documents and checked whether you meet the admission requirements. Please note the specific additional requirements for the individual degree programmes, which can be found on the websites of the degree programmes.

The application interview usually takes place between February and mid-July. If necessary, additional interviews are held in September. In the case of multiple applications, you may be invited to several interviews (specific to the degree programme you are applying for).

Admission Master Degree Programes

Interview

An interview is part of the admission process for all Hagenberg Master's degree programmes. The invitation process for the interview and the procedure is basically the same as in the case of an application for a Bachelor's programme (see above).
