University entrance qualification (Austrian „Matura“ and German „Abitur“, respectively or equivalent qualification).
English required on B2 level, German language skills required on A2 level. Certification required to proof language skills from well renowned institutions, e.g. Goethe Institute. Applicants with little or no German language skills should consider enrolling into the UAS Upper Austria's International Foundation Program (IFP) first. -

Practical Experience and Research
Based at UAS Upper Austria’s Campus Steyr, the Logistikum (logistikum.at) – Austria's largest logistics research institute – works to ensure that the latest research findings are integrated into teaching. It also promotes networking with logistics companies through the Logistics Network Association (vnl.at) in Steyr.
The full-time ILM program is increasingly placing a stronger emphasis on the international side of logistics, giving all students – regardless of their native language – the opportunity to connect and shape the world more effectively when it comes to logistics. The diversity of our students underlines the international flavor of the degree program right from day one, providing excellent foundations for career opportunities in Austria, Germany – and all over the world.

International
Logistics management is a global challenge. And with this in mind, the degree will be offered in both German and English from autumn 2025 onwards. Full-time students complete the first four semesters in English, including a mandatory semester abroad at one of our 100 partner universities. The first four semesters are also designed to enable international students to improve their German skills – meaning that they can complete the final two semesters of their studies in German.

In recent rankings, the International Logistics Management program has consistently achieved the best ratings among more than 70 bachelor’s degrees in economics at universities of applied sciences in Austria.

→ Logistics will make a crucial contribution to achieving the EU’s strict climate goals under the Green Deal.
→ Logistics ensures that urgently needed goods and food reach their destinations even in crisis situations such as the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
→ Starting in autumn 2025: The first four semesters of the full-time ILM program will be held in English, meaning that students whose native language is not German can also enroll. During these four semesters, non-German-speaking students receive tailored support to help them improve their German. The fifth and sixth semesters of the program are held in German. This is intended to give foreign students the opportunity to launch their career at an Austrian company or in another German-speaking country.
→ The part-time program is held in German, with the exception of the third semester, when many courses are held in English.

Do I have to submit a high school diploma/graduation certificate with my application?
You can apply at any time and submit your high school diploma/graduation certificate later - even in the fall if necessary.
Is prior knowledge necessary for the course?
No subject-specific prior knowledge is required for a Bachelor's degree. Your interest in the subject is important, you will then receive the specialist input for this during your studies 😊
How many degree programs can I apply for?
You can apply for 2 degree programs in parallel at the FH Upper Austria with priority 1 and 2.
Can I get credit from another Bachelor's degree program?
