The Human-Centered Computing master's program is structured so that it can be completed while working. However, having a job is not a requirement!

HCC Part-Time Degree Program

Classes are held primarily on Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the latest, and are supplemented by e-learning components. In addition, there are occasional full-day sessions on specific topics.

The first semester typically begins in early September with a three-day block from Wednesday through Friday. In the second semester, a block week takes place at the beginning of the semester. The final block week then takes place at the beginning of the third semester. We make a point of offering a few online Friday-and-Saturday sessions (always both days) each semester to accommodate students who have to travel long distances!

International Semester Abroad

The Human-Centered Computing master’s program supports study abroad experiences during your studies through various scholarship programs. The 4th semester is particularly well-suited for a semester abroad because only one course needs to be offered bilaterally and credited. The third semester can also be used for a semester abroad, although the Learning Agreement will be somewhat more extensive in this case. Contact our International Office to learn more about partner universities, scholarships, and the requirements for a semester abroad.
