Sports Program for the 2026/27 Winter Semester

Thanks to our partnership with USI Linz, our FH students can easily find and book the entire course offerings through the USI Linz website.
On the course page, you can select the “FH OÖ” filter under “TAGS” on the left - and all available courses will be displayed. Of course, you can also book all other USI courses, including those in Linz.

So, let’s get started! Find the right activity for you, add some movement to your daily routine, develop a regular exercise routine, and meet new people along the way. Because sports at the University of Applied Sciences aren’t just about exercise and fitness - they’re also about community, making new friends, and a great mix of sports and socializing.

Important Note:

The USI course program with detailed information for the 2026/27 winter semester will go online on Friday, September 18, 2026.

On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, courses will be available for booking by students and staff starting at 8 a.m.
External guests can book course spots starting Monday, September 28, 2026.

NEW: Yoga on the Steyr Campus

Announcement: Starting in October (Calendar Week 42), there will be a yoga class for students and staff right on campus.

Volleyball (intermediate level; indoor)

• Requirements: the techniques “underhand passing” and “overhand setting” are perfectly mastered and can be implemented in the game. i.e. intermediate to advanced level of play.
• Time: Monday 19:30

Climbing Course at the Steyr Climbing Gym

Course 1

Module 1: 3 sessions of 2 hours each or intensive block: Starts November 4, 2026 (Dates: Nov. 4, Nov. 11, Nov. 18)

• Equipment Overview
• Belaying and Climbing Techniques
• Top-Rope Climbing

Price:

• For students: €70 per participant
• For staff: €85 per participant

Course 2

Bouldering Course: 3 x 2 hours, starting November 25, 2026 (dates: November 25, December 2, December 9)

Price:

• For students: €60 per participant
• For staff: €70 per participant

There will be a Module 2 course in 2027.

Minimum number of participants: 3 / Maximum number of participants per course: 6.

The price includes admission, equipment rental, and an instructor.

• As a student or employee of FH OÖ Steyr, you can attend up to two open yoga classes per week at Yoga Villa Steyr for six months—in the studio, in the garden, or online.
• The monthly fee is just €85 (instead of €99).
