Winter School in Medical Engineering 2024
KEY AREAS: PROSTHETICS, MATERIALS AND MEDICAL SIMULATIONS
Date: 5 - 9 February 2024
The Department of Medical Engineering and the International Office invite you to our fifth Winter School in Medical Engineering. The key areas will be: “Prosthetics, Materials and Medical Simulations”.
Target Audience
Students at the end of their bachelor’s/undergraduate studies (eg. 5 semester) are invited to join us for 1 week and receive 2 ECTS. In addition to lectures and workshops, our programme will include site visits and one optional day for cultural activities.
Admission requirements for students are:
- Studies in Medical Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Technical Studies with focus on medicine (Mechatronics, Medical Electronics,...)
- Students preferred at the end of thir undergraduate/bachelor studies (5th semester)
- English requirement for students: min. B1
Costs
Euro 220,-- per person – will cover lectures, workshops and lab work, including the cultural activities, lunches (except Saturday, Sunday), welcome and farewell dinner and the public transport pass for the city of Linz.
Travel costs, costs for lodging and meals (apart of the ones which are included in this programme) are to be covered by the participants individually.
Accommodation
Currently, the cheapest and most convenient ways of staying in Linz are through Airbnb and in the Youth Hostel of Linz.
If you wish to stay in a hotel, the nearest ones are the AMEDIA Hotel and the Montage Hotel. Please book your stay individually.
