Online Study Talks

Interested in one or more of our IT and media study programs and looking for first-hand details, which you can get live online from anywhere? Then our Online Study Talks are just the right thing for you.

Our program directors, professors and researchers will inform you personally via a live online presentation (webinar) about their study program - from the course content and procedure to the admission requirements, career prospects, etc. Of course, you also have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers. Our Upcoming Study Talk Dates

Our next Online Study Talks for our Bachelor's and Master's programs will take place from Monday, December 16, 2024, to Thursday, December 19, 2024. The specific dates are listed below. Details about participation, the format, and technical information can be found further down. The Study Talks for our English-taught degrees (i.e., the Bachelor's program in Artificial Intelligence Solutions and the Master's program in Interactive Media) will be conducted in English. For our German-taught programs, the Study Talks will be held in German, but English-language advice will also be available during the sessions if you join.

This Is How You Can Participate in the Study Talks

You can take part in our Online Study Talks without registering. All you need is an internet-enabled device with sound output.

Our Online Study Talks are held via Microsoft (MS) Teams. To participate, simply click on the link to the Study Talk date of your interest. The respective link will be published on this page in time and you are invited to take part in the Online Study Talk after clicking on it:

  • To participate on a laptop/PC, you can either join via the MS Teams app (available for free download at https://www.microsoft.com/en/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software/) or in a web browser. You then only need to enter a user name to be admitted to the virtual room. Please make sure that you are using a browser supported by Microsoft: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, the latest version of Firefox.
  • To participate via a mobile device, it is necessary to download the Microsoft Teams app from the respective app store. The participation link can then be opened via the app.

Please note the following participation and communication rules:

  • The online study talks start punctually at the specified time. Please enter the virtual room via the link approx. 5-10 minutes before the start. As soon as the talk starts, you will be let in automatically.
  • The respective presenter will explain the process of the Online Study Talk to you at the beginning - usually the presentation on the study program takes place first and questions are answered afterwards.
  • Please switch off your camera and switch your microphone to "mute" during the entire Study Talk. You can ask any questions you may have via the chat.
