Professional social work fosters social change, social development and social cohesion as well as the empowerment and liberation of individuals. Principles such as social justice, human rights, societal responsibility and respect for diversity are elementary in social work. Social work assists people in meeting the challenges of life by applying a variety of scientific methods and theories. The Bachelor’s degree programme in social work offers interdisciplinary training for future experts, who will be able to counsel, accompany and support service users, as well as plan aid processes. Our degree programme ensures a practice-oriented education following the motto ’Learning how to help effectively!‘.

Job profile

Graduates of the FH program can be employed in a very diverse range of roles. They provide assistance and support in dealing with individual, familial, economic, and even community issues. Their training specifically qualifies them for areas where legal intervention is required, such as public youth welfare services, guardianship, patient advocacy, probation services, out-of-court settlement processes, as well as counseling and intervention centers.
