While cyber security is increasingly developing into a key technology of the modern communication society, the availability of comprehensively trained specialists with know-how in the technical, organisational and legal environment is increasingly lagging behind current requirements. The Master's degree course in Secure Information Systems provides a combination of precisely this knowledge. In addition to comprehensive basic training, it offers the opportunity for individual in-depth study and specialisation in various areas of IT security and organizational information security. In particular, new technologies such as quantum computing and the use of artificial intelligence in cyber security applications are also taught. Career Profile

Graduates of this program can pursue a wide range of careers in the development and implementation of cyber security solutions, auditing and certification, project management and as independent consultants, system planners and supervisors. Among other things, you will be responsible for the implementation of cyber security concepts for networked information systems (cloud, internet, intranet), security monitoring and management systems (SIEM, SOC), for the design and implementation of systems for the secure processing of sensitive data (in the area of critical infrastructures, in authorities & ministries, in the health and security sector) or for cyber security in the development of cryptography, AI and cloud systems. Expertise in information security and security management is in demand in businesses, in management consultancies & certification bodies, at CSIRTs and in public institutions.
