Financials/Student Jobs

Working while studying
Many degree programs schedule fixed days off. This allows students to work part-time to supplement their budget. Please note that this is not recommended for international students during their first year. In addition, work permits might be required. Scholarships, grants & subsidies

Information on scholarships can be found at http://www.stipendium.at/ and http://www.ak-bildung.at/Stipendium/stipr.htm.
Furthermore, the study programs award performance and grant scholarships - information on this can be obtained from the study program secretariats. The ÖH student union at Wels Campus awards food subsidies.

Students parties, Events, Sports Program, Sightseeing

The regular Seiterlstandl, October or Mensa parties of the student associations (ÖH Hochschülerschaft, IF-Studentenverein), the FH sports program or the International Evenings provide the necessary balance after an exciting day of studying. But also the sights of the city of Wels and cooperation with the Wels pubs and stores offer opportunities to chill out together.

Feel good at the new campus

At our School, studying is a collaboration between students, faculty and staff. In addition to imparting knowledge, the focus is on applying knowledge. Therefore, it is important that students,faculty and staff feel comfortable on campus and enjoy spending time here. The campus should be a synthesis of working, learning and living space. This means that in addition to lecture halls, seminar rooms and laboratories, there also need to be rooms and areas where students and lecturers can exchange ideas and relax.

Mental Health First Aiders

There are 14 trained mental health first aiders* available to all members of the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences as a point of contact. They can be contacted at any time by e-mail, telephone, MS Teams chat or in person.
