Katrina Pichlmayer (23) from Ardning was honored this year with the "Chimney Award" from the FH OÖ Faculty of Businessand Management at the Steyr campus. As a graduate of the Controlling, Accounting, and Financial Management (CRF) program at the FH OÖ Faculty of Businessand Management in Steyr, she received the award for her outstanding achievements and exceptional thesis, making her one of only six students in the entire graduating class.
Working Capital Management in Times of Low-Interest Policy - an Analysis of Listed Industrial Companies in the DACH Region
In her bachelor's thesis, Katrina Pichlmayer aimed to explore the extensively covered topic of Working Capital Management in a new context. "My goal was to find out how Working Capital Management behaves in companies during times of low-interest policy, i.e., what significance it is attributed to during this period," explains the graduate. The title of her thesis: "Working Capital Management in Times of Low-Interest Policy - an Analysis of Listed Industrial Companies in the DACH Region."
"Well-equipped for a career in finance": FH studies and future plans
After completing her bachelor's degree, Katrina Pichlmayer is now pursuing her master's degree in Controlling, Accounting, and Financial Management at the FH OÖ Faculty of Businessand Management in Steyr while working. After starting her career in plant controlling, she aims to further specialize and will next work in Group Controlling.
Regarding her studies at the Steyr campus, she states, "Here, you really get the all-in package of financial topics presented and are thus well-equipped for a career in finance."
