Gemeinsam ein Zeichen für Vielfalt und Respekt setzen
On June 24 and 25, we would like to draw attention at all FH Upper Austria campuses to Pride and the importance of diversity, respect, and mutual appreciation.
In cooperation with the Austrian Students’ Union (ÖH), Red Bull cans with a Pride sticker will be distributed. The sticker carries the message:
“We’ll see each other at the Pride Parade Linz – June 27.”
This initiative is more than just a reference to the Pride Parade. It is also a conscious statement in support of openness and against any form of discrimination.
The recent incident in Hagenberg, in which the window of a student shared apartment was smashed behind which a Pride flag was visible, makes it clear that exclusion and intolerance are unfortunately still a reality. As FH Upper Austria, we clearly distance ourselves from such a mindset and reaffirm our position: we stand for diversity, respect, and a culture of appreciation—regardless of gender, sexual orientation, origin, religion, or any other personal characteristic.
FH Upper Austria will not officially participate in the parade as an organization. However, colleagues are warmly invited to join the Pride Parade Linz on June 27. There will be an opportunity to join at the end of the procession.
