This year's Diversity Day was held under the motto "Living Diversity".
The 12th Diversity Day at FH Upper Austria was held under the motto “Living Diversity.” The Diversity Day, together with the Creativity Challenge, which had already concluded in the spring, was organized by the Gender & Diversity Management Conference (GDM-K) of FH Upper Austria. This year, the event was coordinated by the GDM-K team at the Wels Campus: Claudia Probst, Manuela Meindl-Milla, Sascha Senck, and Holger Gröning.
This year, the focus of the event was reimagined. Rather than simply listening, participants were encouraged to take an active role. At the information booth, visitors could explore a wide range of resources and support services, as well as engage in conversations with GDM-K staff members. A special thank you goes to Kernzone Wels for organizing the Coffee Bike, and to the International Office, both of whom created opportunities for inspiring conversations and meaningful exchanges with students over a cozy cup of coffee. We would also like to extend our sincere congratulations and thanks to the winners of the Creativity Challenge held earlier this year.
At the same time, visitors had the opportunity to carve pumpkins in the cafeteria. Creativity was given free rein, resulting in many beautiful, spooky, and humorous creations. These can still be viewed in the courtyard of the FH OÖ Wels Campus over the coming days.
The Bistro Quiz put students’ knowledge to the test. Through fun, teamwork, and collective intelligence, participants tackled questions covering both general knowledge and diversity-related topics. Congratulations to the winning team, and enjoy your prize! Not every question could be answered, but the hope of the GDM-K is that “a playful approach helped raise awareness of a wide range of diversity-related issues.”
A heartfelt thank you to all visitors and the fantastic organizing team! We are already looking forward to Diversity Day 2027.
