Gas chromatography (GC-MS)

Two gas chromatographs of the latest generation (Thermo Fisher Scientific Trace 1300) in combination with quadrupole mass spectrometers enable both highly sensitive trace and robust routine analysis for volatile compounds. Sensitive analytes can also be quantified after conversion steps (derivatization). Gas chromatography has been one of the most important technologies in environmental analysis for decades and is increasingly being used in food analysis due to its strong development in terms of sensitivity and selectivity.

High pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC)

UHPLC enables the separation of complex sample mixtures for the detection of micro and macro ingredients down to the single-digit picogram range. Our latest generation devices allow the analysis of food ingredients and contaminants at high speed with increased sample throughput. A wide range of detectors enables rapid method development for individual problems. The purification of substance mixtures and the production of standards is realized through the use of preparative liquid chromatography.
