NUQO

NUQO^© is a feed additive company that develops innovative biotechnology for animal performance, health and welfare. Founded in France, NUQO© is a feed additive company with employees and production sites throughout Europe and a worldwide distribution network. We conduct research to identify, extract, combine and protect bioactive molecules from natural extracts (plants: phytogenes, or algae: phycogenes) to bring unique solutions to the market. In particular, we are pioneers in combining phytogenes and phycogenes thanks to our unique microencapsulation technology that preserves efficacy and enables optimal release of active ingredients.

In 2021, the Wels University of Applied Sciences and NUQO© will enter into a strategic collaboration to explore the potential of new molecules or metabolites from plants and algae and evaluate their impact on animal physiology. The two teams will jointly explore the appropriate analytical capabilities and in vitro/in vivo models to better understand the mode of action of the new compounds. In parallel, the collaboration will focus on the development of biotransformation processes that can increase the release and efficacy of phytogenes and phycogenes.
