Visiting Professor from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi - Bangkok, Thailand
The School of Engineering of University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria was pleased to welcome Dr. Rardchawadee Silapunt, Lecturer at the Department of Electronicand Telecommunication Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), as a guest lecturer in January 2026.
Dr. Silapunt taught the course “Software Architecture & IoT Systems” within the Master’s program in Robotics Systems Engineering from 12 to 23 January 2026. Her lectures focused on the design and implementation of intelligent, networked systems, combining the fundamentals of software architecture with practical applications in the Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless communication.
The course covered a broad range of topics, including software architecture modeling, design patterns for robotics, communication technologies and IoT application protocols. Through her expertise and engaging teaching style, Dr. Silapunt provided the mostly part-time students with valuable insights into modern IoT and robotics systems as well as an international perspective on those topics. Her visit highlights the ongoing academic collaboration between the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and KMUTT, fostering international exchange in teaching and research.
On her stay Dr. Silapunt attended a a snowshoe hike (Schneeschuhwanderung) on top of the Feuerkogel and a concert at Brucknerhaus/Linz by the “Wiener Philharmonikas” with FH OÖ colleagues.
