FH Upper Austria stands for academic excellence, a modern and inspiring learning environment, and comprehensive support services for students. Those who have always wished for a single point of access instead of multiple portals and logins will see that wish come true in the new semester.
The new app, myUAP, is named in anticipation of the university’s new identity, which will officially take effect in January 2027: UAP University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Whether it is timetables, grades, or campus services, myUAP brings everything together in a secure and privacy-compliant way.
Since September, the new myUAP app has brought together all key digital services of FH Upper Austria on one shared platform," says FH-Prof. Dr. Michael Rabl, President of FH Upper Austria. "The app gives our students easy, fast, andmobile access to essential information and services throughout their studies. At the same time, it represents a concrete step in implementing our Strategy 2040. Our students are at the center of everything we do. We aim to support them throughout their entire student life cycle, enabling them to focus on their studies and complete their degree programs as efficiently as possible."
Study Information and Services, All in One Place myUAP is accessible on campus, on the go, and from home. The app is organized into four main sections: Studies, Calendar, To-Dos, and Campus.
The Studies section includes a digital student ID, an overview of exam results, and quick access to printing services. The Calendar provides students with their personalized study schedule, exam dates, and even deadlines for seminar papers and project assignments. In the To-Dos section, students can keep track of upcoming tasks with due dates and times through a personal task list. The Campus section brings together access to additional tools, campus maps, and even the latest cafeteria menu.
One App Throughout the Entire Student Journey "myUAP is the digital hub for studying at the future UAP, always within reach on your smartphone. It is a single app designed to simplify everyday student life and support students from enrollment through graduation," says MMag. Isolde Perndl, Managing Director for Finance and Administration at FH Upper Austria.
For Perndl, the new app is part of a broader strategy to make studying at UAP even more attractive. This includes enhancing the campus facilities in Hagenberg, Linz, Steyr, and Wels, as well as expanding digital services.
The development of the new app was led by FH-Prof. PD Dr. Andreas Auinger, business information systems expert and Dean of the Faculty in Steyr. For Auinger, myUAP represents "a step toward a modern, digitally connected university." He also emphasizes the importance of up-to-date information: "myUAP keeps students informed about relevant news and changes as soon as they occur."
Secure, Privacy-Compliant, and Built for Growth Protecting students’ personal data was the highest priority in the development and rollout of the new app. myUAP was designed to provide an intuitive, cross-platform, and privacy-compliant user experience.
The app will continue to evolve over time, with new features and functionalities being added on an ongoing basis to further enhance the student experience.
