Internship

Degree programmes at universities of applied sciences are characterised by a strong practical orientation. This not only includes the transfer of professional knowledge and real-world experience, but also insight into economic, legal and social processes within organisations and how these elements interact. For this reason, the Media Technology & Design curriculum requires an internship in the 6th semester.

During the internship, students work on concrete tasks and projects within a company operating in the programme’s professional field. This allows them to gain experience in a real working environment and to apply and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies. Being integrated into the company’s work processes and project teams, as well as the personal experiences gained, are essential elements of the internship. Students should also develop their personal interests, preferences and a well-founded understanding of the professional field.

The internship is supervised jointly by a staff member of the partner company and by the degree programme. It can be completed either in Austria or abroad.
