The Workshop Aggression was founded by aggression researchers located in Germany in 1996. Initially, a small group of German speaking enthusiasts gathered to exchange their latest research findings. At the beginning, the Workshop Aggression was organized annually either in Germany, Switzerland or Austria. In 2002, the Workshop Aggression changed its language from German to English. In 2016, the Workshop Aggression was organized outside the German speaking countries for the first time and was held in Oradea, Romania. Since then, the Workshop Aggression has been organized in different European countries including Norway, Cyprus, Finland, twice in the UK and in the Czech Republic. After 2002 and 2015 the Workshop Aggression is now organized in Austria for the third time.
The Workshop Aggression offers an excellent opportunity for scientists to present and discuss their research activities with colleagues from different disciplines and from different countries. In 2026, we especially invite contributions with the focus on
War, Trauma and Resilience
Sexual Offending
School Bullying
Positive Approaches of Intervention and Prevention
Of course, presentations in all other areas of aggression research are also very welcome. The XXX Workshop Aggression is open for a variety of formats like individual papers, posters, or symposia.
We are proud to host the XXXth Workshop Aggression in Linz, 2026.
