FAQ for companies

The FH Upper Austria offers you a wide range of opportunities. If you would like to have a permanent virtual presence, we recommend booking a company profile in the Career Zone: https://fh-ooe.at/careerzone/profilarten

In order to become more visible at the faculties, you can also become a member of the Wels or Hagenberg support association or enter into a spatial partnership:

- The Faculty of Steyr does not have a support association.
- The Faculty of Linz does not have a sponsoring association, nor does it offer room partnerships.

Another possibility is to participate as an exhibitor at the three career fairs of the FH Upper Austria, which take place every year in the fall. The booking period always begins in spring.

Apart from the aforementioned offers, there are currently no other overarching cooperation opportunities. For the time being, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria will not enter into any new collaborations that require a contractual agreement.

Companies can publish their job advertisements in the Career Zone - the official career portal of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria - at any time. Whenever students and graduates ask for support in their search for jobs and internships, they are referred to this portal without exception.

To advertise jobs in the Career Zone, you need either a free recruiter profile (maximum 5 full-time positions per calendar year, unlimited internships and part-time jobs) or a paid profile type.

Advertisements are created and managed exclusively by the companies themselves.

Certain criteria must be met for jobs to be activated.

Every job advertisement is checked by our team before publication. As soon as an advertisement has been activated, you will receive an e-mail.

By default, jobs are visible for 30 days. However, if required, you can also set a different archiving date that is well into the future. However, all tenders that are four weeks or older will be deactivated on 31.12.2024.

Every job advertisement is checked by our Career Zone team before it is published. Job advertisements will only be published if they comply with our guidelines: https://fh-ooe.at/careerzone/jobvorgaben

These include the following criteria in particular:

- the specification of a description text and a minimum salary,
- Full-time positions must be aimed at academics (educational level: at least a Bachelor's degree)

Another reason for rejection is exceeding the annual full-time position quota, which depends on your profile type. The free Recruiter Profile includes 5 full-time positions per year, the limit for the Recruiter Profile Plus is 15 jobs, for the small company profile 25 jobs and for the large company profile there are no restrictions.

In the event of a rejection, we will send you a rejection e-mail with a brief explanation.

All jobs that you advertise in the Career Zone are visible to logged-in students and graduates if they match their search criteria. Your jobs are also distributed daily in the form of an automatically generated job alert to all users who are currently looking for a job in the respective field of activity (see example).

Jobs are not sent individually by e-mail.

At Campus Hagenberg, job advertisements are also pinned to the bulletin board. This service is only offered to members of the Förderverein. If you would like to use this service, please send your request directly to andrea.gruber@fh-hagenberg.at

In Austria, many universities use JobTeaser as their career portal. Therefore, if you are logged into a JobTeaser profile at another university, please log out before creating a recruiter profile on our platform. Alternatively, you can use a different browser.

To create a company profile, you need a special link. You will only receive this after you have placed an order using the online form and signed the profile usage contract and returned it to us.

Company profiles that are created without prior booking will be deleted without exception.

b) If the login with your access data does not work, you can try change the password or e-mail address of your recruiter profile yourself.

c) If your Recruiter profile has not been used for more than two years, the Recruiter profile will be automatically deleted. In this case, you must create a new recruiter profile.

d) Your login problem may be due to the fact that you have several JobTeaser profiles. Many universities in Austria, including the FH Upper Austria, use this provider's software.
If your company has a JobTeaser account with another university, we recommend the following procedure:

• Find out at which university you last advertised jobs.
  
• Call up the login link of the career portal of this university.
  
• Log out of your Recruiter account via the menu at the top right.
  
• Access the FH Upper Austria Career Zone via the following link: fh-ooe.jobteaser.com and click on the black link under the green buttons.
  
• Log in with your FH OÖ access data.

e) Alternatively, you can try logging in in another browser that you have rarely or never used before via the Career Zone link provided above.

b) If you do not activate admin access within 24 hours of receiving the activation link or do not log into your admin account for more than a year, it will be automatically deleted by JobTeaser. In this case, please send us an e-mail to careerzone@fh-ooe.at and we will create a new account for you.

c) If you would like to reset your password, please also send us an e-mail with the subject “Reset password” to careerzone@fh-ooe.at.

d) Your login problem may be due to the fact that you have several JobTeaser profiles. Many universities in Austria, including the FH Upper Austria, use this provider's software.

If your company has a JobTeaser account with another university, we recommend the following procedure:

If you would like to proactively approach students and graduates who are potential candidates for open positions, we recommend booking a small or large buinsess account in the Career Zone.

As an additional feature, you can purchase access to the UAS Upper Austria Talent Pool here. This contains all the CVs of students and alumni who are currently looking for a job. You may contact them. Access to the CV database costs €600, but is free of charge for partners of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Details on eligibility can be found in the terms and conditions.

Another option is to participate as an exhibitor at the three career fairs of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, which take place every fall. Here you can draw visitors' attention to your company in a personal initial meeting and convince them of your advantages as an employer.

Unfortunately, for technical reasons we are unable to upgrade recruiter profiles.

Therefore, if you decide to book a paid profile type, you must create a new one without exception - via a special link that you will receive from us.

Please note in this context that you cannot use the same e-mail address to manage your recruiter profile and your company profile. If you wish to do so, the free recruiter profile must be deleted to free up the e-mail address.

Job advertisements that are published via paid profile types are always displayed to students and graduates first by default when they log in.

In addition, we always pick out exciting jobs from paid profiles to include in our target group-specific RSS feeds for students and alumni .

Selected job offers from paid profiles are also displayed at the end of the four faculty-specific monthly newsletters of the Alumni Club (see example).

The Recruiter Profile Plus is a company profile with greatly reduced functionality. Although it has partner status with the FH Upper Austria, it is not listed with its own presentation area in the “Company” menu, unlike the small and large company profiles.
