Overview of the most important features & functions of the Career Zone
The Career Zone is a free career portal of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Students and graduates can find tailored job offers for (prospective) academics. But that's not all: users will find many opportunities to discover potential employers and get in touch with them without obligation. On top of that, there is also professional advice from experts at the FH Upper Austria, who will not only show you possible career paths, but also accompany you on your way into science, your own business or into management.
Registration/login for students
To register quickly and easily for the FH Upper Austria Career Zone, click on the link fh-ooe.jobteaser.com and enter your FH e-mail address (s*********@fhooe.at address) and your FH password.
Now select your degree programs and your (expected) graduation date, accept the terms of use and roughly define your search preferences. Your Career Zone profile is now created.
Keep your profile after graduation
Register with your private e-mail address in the Alumni Club and replace the s*********@fhooe.at address stored in your user profile with this address. The login link remains the same for Alumni Club members.
As an Alumni Club member, you can also use this link to register for the Career Zone if you did not have a profile before you graduated. Please also use your Alumni Club e-mail address for this.
Remove the standard filter in the job feed
Every month, hundreds of job advertisements from companies in Upper Austria and the surrounding area are published in the Career Zone. In addition, there are over a thousand job offers in EU and non-EU countries.
To see all of them in your job feed, activate the Exclusive offers for your university slider in the Jobs menu. By default, only advertisements from partners of the FH Upper Austria appear.
CV upload is contact permission
Of course, it is advisable to search specifically for a suitable professional challenge and the right company yourself. But in times of a shortage of skilled workers, there is another way:
If you upload your CV to your user profile, recruiters can contact you directly. You may receive many exciting offers that you would not otherwise have come across.
Browse through company profiles
Instead of only looking at well-known industry giants when researching your future employer, it is often worth considering lesser-known small and medium-sized companies.
They have a lot to offer. In the Career Zone, you can currently find over 800 virtual presences of companies. This is a good mix of corporations, family businesses, start-ups and NGOs.
Gain insights and network
Especially during the winter and summer semesters, the "Events" section is bursting with voluntary events that students and graduates can attend (usually) free of charge.
Hardly a day goes by without the FH Upper Austria or its partner companies inviting you to a lecture, workshop or company tour. Registration often takes place conveniently directly in the Career Zone.
Automatic event & job newsletter
Once a day, a newsletter is generated on request with the top 10 jobs that could be of interest to you. You will also automatically receive an overview of upcoming events once a week. Both can be deactivated in the "Criteria" dashboard area.
