Martin Lanzinger

Martin Lanzinger (24) from Wallsee-Sindelburg was honored this year with the "Chimney Award" from the FH OÖ Faculty of Business and Management at the Steyr campus. As a graduate of the Production and Management (PMT) program at the FH OÖ Faculty of Business and Management in Steyr, he received the award for his outstanding achievements and exceptional thesis, making him one of only six students in the entire graduating class.

Lean Production meets Industry 4.0

In his thesis, Martin Lanzinger explored the widespread concept of Lean Production and investigated how this concept could be optimally integrated with the Industry 4.0 concept and its associated technologies. The uniqueness of his research lies in the development of improvement possibilities for existing methods through the integration of new technologies, creating added value for companies. The title of his thesis: "Assessed Influence of Industry 4.0 Technologies on Lean Production Methods."

"Technical and Business Knowledge for Practice": FH Studies and Future Plans

Martin Lanzinger is particularly enthusiastic about the combination of engineering and business topics and the strong practical relevance in his studies at the FH OÖ Faculty of Management.

In addition to the technical aspects, personality development is also emphasized. He mentions, "The teachers and fellow students have helped me to develop myself further." His most memorable study moment: submitting the bachelor's thesis.

Professionally, Lanzinger works as a Logistics Planner at Engel Austria GmbH and aims to continue developing in the field of logistics and production planning in the future.
