Lisa Maria Wieser

Lisa Maria Wieser (25) from Schiedlberg was honored this year with the "Chimney Award" from the FH OÖ Faculty of Business and Management at the Steyr campus. As a graduate of the Global Sales and Marketing (GSM) program at the FH OÖ Faculty of Business and Management in Steyr, she received the award for her outstanding achievements and exceptional master's thesis, making her one of only six students in the entire graduating class.

Outstanding Master's Thesis

The Chimney Award is the most prestigious recognition of the FH OÖ Faculty of Management and was presented for the 22nd time this year. In her master's thesis, Lisa Wieser, in collaboration with MAGNA Powertrain in St. Valentin, developed a valuation concept for the product lifecycle management system of the company. The goal of her work was to create a valuation concept for a product lifecycle management system that reflects both the quantitative and qualitative value elements for a company, in this case, MAGNA Powertrain. Improvement potentials were also identified. The result of her work reflects that the added value of MAGNA Powertrain's system exceeds the associated costs, especially regarding future developments. For a Tier-1 automotive supplier, the question is not whether to dedicate oneself to a product lifecycle management system but how to do it. Improvement potentials were identified in several areas, including user-friendliness and performance, integration potentials with other systems, and the absence of long-term key performance indicators.

"Friends for life and good contacts": FH studies and future plans

After completing her bachelor's degree at the FH OÖ Faculty of Business and Management, Lisa Wieser also pursued the Global Sales and Marketing master's program in Steyr, which is conducted entirely in English. Lisa participated in the Triple-Degree Program in the field of Global Sales and Marketing in collaboration with CETYS University (Mexico) and Providence University (Taiwan), completing parts of her studies abroad.

The excellent references and the numerous opportunities offered to students motivated the graduate to study at the FH OÖ Faculty of Business and Management in Steyr: "Whether it's field trips, exchange semesters, or business projects – there's really a lot of variety," the graduate reports. She was also thrilled during her study period that she could "find friends for life and make good contacts." Her most beautiful study moment: celebrating successes with friends.

Professionally, Lisa Wieser is working at NKE Austria GmbH as a Sales Trainee for the export markets. After comprehensive training in inside sales, the graduate is looking forward to gradually taking over first markets and customers.
