Markus Stangl tells us
Being a student is a prolonged exceptional situation in a positive sense. The life you were used to until the start of your studies changes abruptly and you are completely free of any worries about what you might do next in your free time. The organization of the Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences is of particular interest to all those who want to be guided through their studies by a timetable and binding deadlines. This distinguishes this educational institution significantly from universities in the traditional sense. Personally, this helped me a lot to stay on the ball and achieve my Bachelor's degree within the minimum period of study.
What were the highlights of your time at university? What was your best study moment?
The highlights of my studies are the combination of technical content and subjects to develop personal and social skills. In addition to learning about logistics management itself, the various semesters also teach values that are useful for teamwork in everyday working life, but also for understanding other cultures in business life.
Why did you decide to study at the Steyr Campus back then?
The decision to study ILM was the result of research and actively gathering information in advance. The focus areas correlate extensively with my professional activity as a purchasing manager in a medium-sized company. The experience I gained in the working world helped me to take a practice-oriented approach to the subjects I studied.
Which parts/knowledge from your studies have particularly helped you to achieve your career plans?
In addition to gaining professional expertise during the course, it is particularly important to mention that you change yourself as an individual in a positive way and emerge stronger. It should also be mentioned that it is a great experience to be part of a class community in adulthood, which can also lead to friendships.
It goes without saying that the ILM course also represents added value for graduates who are looking for professional challenges for committed and well-trained employees.
