Becoming a Guest Reader

The library is open to the public during the office hours.

At your first visit you are obligated to attend a approx. 20 minute long introductory instruction about the library and how to use our services.
Please let us know at least one day in advance when you would like to come, we don't provide on the spot instructions.

Please bring: € 15 caution money for the library card and a valid photo identification.

Minimum age for signing up is 18 years.

Information regarding E-Ressources:
Guest Readers only have full text access to our E-Ressources via University PCs or eduroam wifi, remote access is not possible.
A research PC is always logged in at the library entrance to download media.
Users for PCs are available at the library office.

Research classes for school groups

We are offering an introduction to literature research for school groups, especially those working on pre-scientific papers for A-levels (Matura).
The class takes place in an EDV room and normally has a duration of around 60 minutes. Afterwards students have the opportunity to open a library account and visit the library.

FH Upper Austria Alumni

FH Upper Austria Alumni are welcome to contiune to use the library and it's services like inter library loan etc. after they finish their studies.
A guest reader account has to be activated, see information above.
