Female talents wanted in the fields of technology and digitalisation!
The technology company Infineon and the ORF have jointly created the women's advancement award for researchers in the fields of artificialintelligence, network technology, data science, natural sciences and many more.
The aim is to motivate young women to engage with issues around technology and digitalisation as part of their training. The award is given to women address these topics in their final papers (HTL, technical college, college, or university in Austria) in a new and innovative way and take aspects of sustainability into account.
ORF and Infineon are giving out prizes of up to EUR 10.000, as well as numerous internships with the respective organisers. Students or graduates of a public or private HTL, technical college, college or university in Austria, who have written a subject, bachelor's, master's thesis, or dissertation in 2020, 2021 or 2022 can apply. The topic of the work should be related to technical questions from the fields of information and communication technologies (especially artificialintelligenceand machine learning/ network technology/ data management/ data science/ database storage/cloud technologies/ broadcast and streaming technologies), semiconductor and nanotechnology, or engineeringand natural sciences (in particular electricalengineering/materials science/process engineering/physics & chemistry/industrial & bio-engineering/automation).
