AMM@BMW: Valuable insights into the largest engine plant of the BMW Group
The students of the master's degree program Automotive Mechatronics and Management (AMM) gained valuable insights into component production and engine assembly in the course of a tour of the BMW Group's largest engine plant.
During presentations, they also gained insights into the future of the site and how BMW will change automotive production in the future with its iFACTORY strategy. E-drive technology will naturally play an even greater role for the site, as the BMW Group's next generation of e-drives will be produced here from 2025. But BMW´s development site in Steyr is also breaking new ground in this context, as the focus here is also on the development of new high-performance electric drives. The students were invited by Felix Reumann MSc, who is currently in charge of the assembly team for the new generation electric drive at the Steyr plant and has also been a lecturer in the AMM degree program since this semester. In addition, Felix Reumann is a graduate of the IPM and MEWI degree programs at the FH OÖ Campus Wels. Dear Felix Reumann, thank you very much for this very interesting afternoon and your support!
