The Online Master Night of the FH Upper Austria Faculty Hagenberg offers the ideal opportunity to find out live online about our full-time and part-time Master's degree programs in the fields of Computer Science, Communication and Media and to get personal advice.

What our Online Master Night offers
From 6.30 p.m., each of our Master's degree programs offer an individual lecture followed by a Q&A session on Microsoft Teams, in which professors, usually together with students/graduates, provide information about "their" study program - from the organization and curriculum to career prospects and professional fields. This is an opportunity to learn more about the program you are interested in and to ask questions live to the program directors/coordinators and students/graduates.
In advance, from 6:00 to 6:30 pm, we offer a short info session with a Q&A for general information about completing a Master's degree program at our Faculty of Informatics, Communication and Media, including tips and interesting facts about housing and living or staying overnight in Hagenberg.
We will publish a detailed program for this online info event in mid-April!

How to take part in the info talk on the Master's program of my interest?
Click on the participation link for the session you would like to attend. Enter your name and you're in. Please make sure that you are using a browser supported by Microsoft: Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge, the latest version of Chrome, the latest version of Firefox.
Is special technical equipment necessary to take part?
All that is needed is a technical device (laptop, computer, tablet, smartphone) with an internet connection.
Can I also take part in the program with my cell phone?
Yes, this is possible. Please download the Microsoft Teams app from the Appstore and open the participation link via this app.
Do I have to log in with my full name?
No, only the first or last name can be entered. The name entered is visible to the lecturer and the participants.
How can participants ask questions?
During the Q&A session following the information lecture, questions to the professors, students and graduates are welcome in the Microsoft Teams chat. It is also possible to switch on the camera and ask questions via microphone.
Do all participants see the questions asked?
The questions asked during the Q&A session in the chat are visible to all participants. If you would like to ask questions anonymously, we recommend that you make use of our virtual student advisory service by email, telephone and social media or send an email to the relevant degree program office.
Do the speakers see/hear me?
You can decide this yourself by deactivating/activating the webcam and microphone. However, we recommend that you only activate your webcam and microphone during the Q&A session.
Do I have to join at the beginning of the Q&A session or can I join later?
We recommend joining a few minutes before the start, but no later than the scheduled time, even if a later start is possible. Important participation and communication information will be provided at the beginning, and other Q&A participants may have similar questions or ask questions that might also interest you.
Can I leave the Q&A session early?
It is possible to leave early. However, we strive to make the Q&A sessions as entertaining and informative as possible, and our professors and students/graduates provide interesting facts, from course content to career paths and application information. Insider tips included :)
Who can I contact if I have any questions afterwards?
Open questions can be asked at any time via our virtual student advisory service, which can also be reached by e-mail or reach out to the degree program secretariats directly via e-mail (details on the website of the respective degree program).
Can I watch the info talks afterwards?
Due to data protection regulations, we cannot guarantee that the Online Master Night presentations can be recorded. If this is not possible, we will endeavor to provide info talks from other dates or alternative offers. Details will be announced on this page after the event.
