Student Life in Wels
A well-functioning team is a basic requirement for student representation. At the FH Upper Austria Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences in Wels, the campus team consists of 4 students who take care of your concerns as a student. At the Wels campus, the campus office provides the following services:
- Manage and issue canteen vouchers
- Advising students
- Organising game nights, thirst games and other events
- Improving the student environment

Events
The Student Union deals with student concerns and organises many events e.g. two Mensa-parties per semester, the campus ball and the beer stands every Thursday, promoting student social life and helping students to meet each other. There is also a going-out calendar with special price reductions in Wels bars.
Buddy System
What is the Buddy System?
The Buddy Team is a group of students who look after our Erasmus exchange students during their semester here.
What are the main tasks of a Buddy?
- making contact with exchange students
- helping them ‚arrive‘
- support during Orientation Week
- contact person for questions about study/everyday life in Wels/Austria during the semester
