FH Upper Austria shines in the master's ranking of the renowned Center for Higher Education Development (CHE)
Top marks once again for the Engineering degree programs at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Wels

Anyone wishing to pursue a master's degree in science and technology would be well advised to do so at the School of Engineering of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria – according to the latest ranking by the renowned German “Center for Higher Education Development” (CHE). Wels received top ratings of more than 4.5 out of 5 stars, particularly in the areas of teaching quality, research orientation, student support, and study organization.
The focus of the courses, their practical relevance, topicality, and the competence of the teaching staff are very well received by master's students at the School of Engineering of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. The teaching staff are also considered to be easily accessible and supportive. The quality of the courses is also positively influenced by the small group sizes in the degree programs, which also facilitates the transition into a master's degree.
As the strongest university of applied sciences in Austria in terms of research, the FH Upper Austria is also at the forefront of applied research in the entire German-speaking region. This is reflected very positively in the CHE ranking – and especially in the fact that master's students are involved in research projects in various ways.

It evaluates degree programs based on criteria such as course offerings, study organization, student support, practical and research orientation, and digital teaching. The results are based on a survey of master's students as well as data and facts about the respective university.
Specifically, the Master’s degree programs “Materials and Process Engineering”, “Lightweight Design and Composite Materials” and “Mechanical Engineering” were included in the CHE university ranking for master's programs this time around.
