The Department of Social Work and the International Office Linz invite teaching colleagues to take an active part in this program by giving a lecture or leading a workshop (eligible for Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility funding). Students are invited to join us and receive up to 3 ECTS for their participation.
In addition to lectures and workshops, our program will include site visits to social organizations active in a variety of different areas, such as immigration, social work with offenders or drugs and addiction.
The week before (2 - 6 June), we will run an extended program for students and lecturers from overseas-partners. Further details upon request.

On Monday, 9 June 2025, we will show you the beauty of Austria and take the chance to get to know each other before the official start of the international days. Join us for an optional trip to the scenic village of St. Wolfgang where we will take Austria's steepest cog railway to the top of the mountain "Schafberg". After exploring the mountain we will take the railway back to St. Wolfgang where you will have the possibility of exploring this picturesque village on your own. Before taking the bus home we will also go on a short boat trip with the Wolfgangsee Schifffahrt ferry.
Accommodation
Linz offers a variety of hotels at different price levels. The closest very low priced hotel is the Montagehotel Business & City which is situated just around the corner (approx. 5 min. walk) of the FH Upper Austria. For lecturers, we have also pre-reserved a certain amount of rooms at the Amedia Hotel Linz (2 min. walking distance) – please let us know if you intend to stay there and we will inform you about the special rate and the reservation mode. Upon request, we will gladly suggest other hotels. Also, one of the cheapest and most convenient ways of staying in Linz is through Airbnb.
Please book your stay individually.
Registration
In order to apply for our event, please contact us via e-mail and let us know whether you're a student or a lecturer and which university and country you're coming from. We will then let you know about the individual application/registration procedure.
