Hello :) My name is Sharmin, I am originally from Iran and I study IPM at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Wels.
I studied the Master's programme in Urban Management in Iran and have been working as a digital marketing specialist for six years.
Why did I choose this place to study? I decided to leave my comfort zone, so I was looking for a new English-language Master's programme to expand my knowledge, especially in the field of product management. IPM was the ideal choice for me because it allows you to deepen your knowledge in different subjects, including design and innovation, which are essential in the fast-paced world.
I like the university atmosphere with many international students and the opportunity to learn German while studying in a German-speaking country. The lectures are designed to prepare students for industry; on the other hand, companies are interested in hiring graduates.
I like Wels because the people are friendly and it is close to a beautiful lake that offers a perfect view to enjoy leisure time.
Moving to a new country is a challenge, especially for me, which happened at the same time as the Corona outbreak.
