Study Contents

The focus is on the introduction and application of innovative technologies in healthcare - from hospitals and research institutions to home care. Students acquire interdisciplinary knowledge in medical-technical systems, imaging and monitoring, computer-assisted diagnostics, bioinformatics and artificial intelligence, as well as in ethical and legal aspects of personalized medicine.

Students gain practical experience through clinical internships, patient interaction, research activities, and hands-on work with medical devices. In interdisciplinary group projects, they address real clinical challenges, develop innovative solutions, and apply their knowledge directly in a clinical context.

To deepen their expertise, students choose one of three elective specializations: they can explore nano-bio analysis in personalized medicine, apply portable monitoring systems for patient-centered care, or work with experimental imaging methods in clinical practice. In doing so, they acquire practice-oriented knowledge of innovative technologies, individualized patient applications, and the critical evaluation of effectiveness, risks, and ethical considerations.

With these competencies, graduates are well prepared to develop new technological solutions, support existing healthcare staff, and actively contribute to meeting the growing demands of the healthcare sector.
