Connecting with companies: Electrical Engineering students visit TECONOMY career fair in Linz
Getting international students in early contact with local industry is one of the keys to making them stay in Austria after graduation. Thus, students of the English-taught Bachelor’s programme in Electrical Engineering at FH OÖ Campus in Wels visited the TECONOMY Career fair in Linz this week (March 14) to connect with companies and look out for internship opportunities.
This trip to Linz was part of a seminar called “Intercultural Competence for the Workplace” and prepared students for their 3-month internship, which is an integral part of their studies. The students very much enjoyed this event and were happy to find out about the thriving companies and great job opportunities in Upper Austria and its neighboring regions.
