On June 27th, 2024, students of the
Automotive Mechatronics and Management (AMM) program were invited to an
industry tour of BRP-Rotax in Gunskirchen. Ms. Alexandra Bartl (Talent
Management Advisor, Human Resources) gave a presentation on the company
history, product range, and work life and atmosphere of the company.
The excursion also included a tour of Rotax’s vast manufacturing floor, where the students saw first-hand how the latest engines for Rotax products, including Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo and Can-Am, are produced. From crankshaft machining to final engine assembly, the tour gave students a comprehensive understanding of how a powertrain company manufactures their products and the processes they implement in their production line.
Afterwards, Dr. Christoph Dutzler, Senior Manager Electric/Electronic, gave fascinating insights into the company's cutting-edge development activities in the field of electrification and electronics.
The morning concluded with presentations by graduates and working students from the FH OÖ Campus Wels, who provided valuable insights into their work at BRP-Rotax. Following the presentations, the students were invited to lunch. We would like to extend our gratitude to Ms. Alexandra for her excellent organization of this event!
