The courses have 30 lessons per semester and can be continued in the next semester provided that there are sufficient registrations to make a financially viable group e.g. Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3...
When and where do the courses take place?
The courses start at the beginning of the semester (Spanish Beginners: 16.10.2024) - Wednesdays from 18:05 - 20:40 (3 EH). The courses appear in the timetable/schedule and take place in Wels School of Engineering rooms/buildings.
I'm not a beginner in a particular language. What are my options?
All who are not beginners can register for a more advanced group (except for Chinese!).
What do the courses cost?
The minimum number of students required for a financially viable group is 15 and students pay a contribution of 65 euros (must be paid in cash before the start of the course). For employees of the university courses are usually free of charge.
Do I get a grade/mark in my certificate(s)/Record of Achievement?
There are two possibilities:
If you fulfil the attendance requirement of 80% but do not take the test at the end of the semester, you will get the remark 'participated' on your certificate without any ECTS credits.
If you fulfill the attendance requirement and pass the test, your mark/grade will be visible on your certificate together with the respective ECTS credits. For graduates a certificate confirming the successful attendance can be issued upon request.
How do I fulfil the attendance requirement?
Attend at least 80% of the 30 lessons (24 of the 30 lessons)! Attendance is monitored by the teacher with an attendance list you must sign at the beginning of every class.
