Foreign Languages Courses

Start of a beginner's course on March 18, 2026. 

Students, members of the AlumniClub and employees of this university.

The courses have 30 lessons per semester and can be continued in the next semester provided that there are sufficient registrations to make a financially viable group e.g. Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3...

The courses start at the beginning of the semester (Spanish beginners: 18.03.2026) - Wednesdays from 18:05 - 20:40 (3 EH). The courses appear in the schedule and take place in Wels School of Engineering rooms/buildings.

For those who already have prior knowledge or are already advanced in a foreign language, there is the option of participating in an advanced foreign language course, if such a course is being continued from the previous semester. 

The minimum number of students required for a financially viable group is 15 and students pay a contribution of 145 euros (must be paid in cash before the start of the course). For employees of the university courses are usually free of charge.

There are two possibilities:
You will receive a certificate of attendance with the assessment ‘Successfully participated’, provided you fulfil the attendance requirement of 80% (without ECTS).

If you fulfill the attendance requirement and pass the test, your mark/grade will be visible on your certificate together with the respective ECTS credits. For graduates a certificate confirming the successful attendance can be issued upon request.

Attend at least 80% of the 30 lessons (24 of the 30 lessons)! Attendance is monitored by the teacher with an attendance list you must sign at the beginning of every class.
