Head of Marketing & Communications · Wintersteiger Solutions GmbH
I've always done what I enjoyed – leadership responsibility came naturally along the way. I never planned a big career – I simply wanted to shape brands, experiences, and touchpoints. The fact that I've since been responsible for communication strategy as Head of Marketing across various industries, and still am today, feels less like an achieved goal – and more like a logical continuation.

Highlights from Your Studies
Those moments when you realized: GSM is so much more than just a degree program.
Whether it was organizing the legendary Boatmania or the "Schlacht der Fakultäten", or arriving for my exchange semester in Sweden Two skyscrapers full of international students, in short, a wonderful little world of its own. In hindsight, probably the foundation for my later trip around the world. What left a lasting impression were the moments with our close-knit group of four – whether working on projects together, intensive Russian language training, or partying – usually well into the night. That sense of community and solidarity was my highlight.
Why Campus Steyr?
I knew I wanted to "do business" – but definitely not in an ivory tower. It had to be hands-on, real-world application, real people. The program delivered exactly that. And kept its promise.
What Knowledge Has Helped You?
It's the mix that matters. It was never one subject or one lecture – it was the combination of sales training, intercultural thinking, project work, and presentations. You learn to structure and connect measures that, at first glance, might seem unrelated. That's exactly what I still do every day.
Tips for Current Students
Do what you enjoy – do it with confidence and consistency. Success often comes exactly when you least expect it. If you're truly passionate about what you do, you don't need to worry much about the rest.
The first point is only half of the truth. Challenges will come your way – whether it's the bankruptcy of Europe's leading motorcycle manufacturer or coming home from a trip around the world one week before the start of a pandemic. Setbacks and change will accompany you throughout life. What matters is building a strong home base and solid values - learn to see setbacks as opportunities to grow. Zoomed out, it's a wonderful journey – keep the faith: everything will be fine.

If I could start studying all over again, I would… allow myself to make mistakes earlier - and accept that's how you learn the most. And I'd probably choose a master's degree in digital (as a complement to GSM, of course). Not because my path was wrong – just because marketing has transformed significantly since then.
