On October 1, the Freshers’ Fair will take place at Campus Hagenberg. New students will have the opportunity to discover important university services and other resources available in Hagenberg, get useful information, and make their first connections.
Freshers Fair at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Hagenberg – Everything You Need for a Great Start to Campus Life
On October 1, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., our first Freshers Fair will take place on campus, jointly organized by the Hagenberg Faculty and the Student Union (ÖH) of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.
The event gives freshers – as well as all other interested students – the opportunity to discover the wide range of services, initiatives, and organizations available at our university and in Hagenberg, all in a relaxed atmosphere. On Levels 0–2 of FH Building 2, you can meet representatives from Equipment Rental, the Teaching and Learning Center, Careers Center, Alumni Club, Hagenberg Study Programs Support Association, International Office, Diversity & Inclusion, Administration, Marketing, the Student Union (ÖH), Sports Club, Hagenberg Circle for Digital Security, our Makerspace, the Campina Band, the Municipality of Hagenberg, Softwarepark Hagenberg, and our Startup Space.
The event kicks off at 5:00 p.m. with a brief welcome by the Dean, Vice Dean, and Student Union. At 6:00 p.m., FH-Prof. Univ.-Doz. DI Dr. Ulrich Bodenhofer will give the talk “ArtificialIntelligence Demystified: Technical Foundations and Future Perspectives” in English in the Audimax.
At 6:30 p.m., the Freshers Party starts in our Common Room (VR), with a live performance by the Campina Band at 7:00 p.m. The party ends at 11:00 p.m.
