ASIC

The ASIC in Wels has been carrying out research and development in the field of solar technology since March 2000. Thanks to financial support from the province of Upper Austria, the city of Wels and the Wels electricity company, a platform has been created between research, education and commercial enterprises. Research and development as well as project management in the field of solar energy are among the ASIC's primary tasks.

We carry out research and development projects in the field of renewable energy technologies, particularly in the area of solar technology. The solar laboratory is also available for this purpose, where a wide range of measuring equipment can be used. For example, collector performance tests can be carried out at the indoor and outdoor measuring stations. The optical characteristics (transmission, absorption, etc.) of collector components can be measured in the optical laboratory.
