#thenewITGirls - A breath of fresh air in the IT industry

So did the two founders, Astrid Wieland and Doris Schlaffer, who worked in IT for different employers. They met again and again at the same industry events and found that not only the audience, but also the panels were almost exclusively men.

They wanted to change this and created #thenewITGirls, a team of industry experts working on connecting women in the IT industry across job titles.

Their goal is to show the social and economic advantages of diversity in IT and to emphasize the diversity of job profiles to positively shape the image of women in IT.
